Cookie Policy

Last updated September 1, 2026

Stock Picks uses very little browser storage, and none of it is for advertising. This page explains exactly what is stored and why.

What we store

  • Session token. When you log in, an authentication token is saved in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in between visits. Removing it signs you out.
  • Preferences. Small settings such as your chosen chart timeframe or dismissed prompts, so the interface behaves consistently.
  • Access cookie. If the site is behind an access-code gate, a short-lived cookie records that you passed it.

What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site profiling. We do not sell browsing data. There is no ad-tech on this site, which is why you are not being asked to accept a consent banner full of vendors.

Managing storage

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser's settings. Doing so signs you out and resets preferences, but does not delete your account or simulated portfolio. Blocking storage entirely will prevent you from staying signed in.

Stock Picks is an educational trading simulator. It is not a broker-dealer, no orders are routed to any market, and no real money is deposited, held or withdrawn.
